According to USA Today "On average most people spend about $ 18.00 on Halloween candy every year."
Wow, that's alot of money nowadays. So please spend your hard earned cash and get the good stuff.
Overwhelmed by it all? Not quite sure what to buy? O.k. here are a few examples of the stuff you shouldn't give out this Halloween or ever for that matter!
Raisins:
Really? Raisins on Halloween? Really? REALLY? Epic Fail .Don't try to pass off as Halloween candy. It's not, it's a fruit. And don't try slipping in any of those chocolate covered raisins either!
Those hard globs in the black & orange wrappers:
They're so bad I don't even think they have a brand name! They're cleverly disguised to look festive I know. But please,please, please don't buy this flavorless goo of taffy.
Update: They are called Mary Janes. Great, good to know ...still yucky gross. Just don't do it!
Speaking of taffy...
Laffy Taffy:
I do not laffy when I get these. I get sobby. I get depressedy. Because it gets all stucky to my teethy and doesn't even taste that goody!
Necco Wafers:
The chalky candy is supposedly "fruit-flavored," but no fruit I know tastes like dust-and makes everything eaten after taste like dust too.
Black Licorice:
Just tastes like medicine,bad, bad medicine.
What I don't understand is why anyone would choose to eat this in the 1st place. I mean there’s a delicious alternative in red licorice so why anyone would go for the medicinal black flavor.
Microwave Popcorn:
I was in CVS the other day and I noticed something new in the halloween candy aisle that I think might win the "bad Halloween candy of all time" prize, little individual bags of lowfat microwavable popcorn. Who thought this was a good idea?
Pennies:
If it ain’t candy, don’t hand it out, grandpa! Enuf said.
Individual sticks of sugarless gum:
Sure it's cheap, but you'll just be annoying the kids. Plus also, the loose sticks get all warm and sticky in the bag, and then you can't eat them anyway.
In the end, I ask, implore you actually if you aren't willing to give the good stuff, just turn off the lights and go to bed.
