 Wedding Dash 4 Ever
It's another busy Wedding Dash season!

Yep, that's right Playfirst never one to let a successful game premise end, has come up with their latest cash cow called "Wedding Dash 4 Ever."
I can't fault them though, PlayFirst has the time management gamplay down to a science, with Diner Dash, Cooking Dash, Hotel Dash, Parking Dash, etc, etc, etc.

When the last Wedding Dash game ended, Quinn had ended her engagement with her photographer Joe. But there's just one problem, she never told her mother! Out of the blue, Quinn’s mother comes and takes it upon herself to stay for two weeks with Quinn and Flo from Diner Dash to help Quinn plan her wedding and to help Quinn with her business. Quinn tries to work up the courage to tell her mom the truth, all the while making sure all of the weddings run smoothly.

When starting, everything seems like normal Dash gameplay. You seat the guests, take the presents, serve them appetizers, serve them dinner, and finally serve them cake so that they can go dancing. Then little obstacles are thrown into the mix like the bride and groom wanting to sit with the guests, elderly guests taking longer to eat than others. And of course, certain guests are not as patient as others, one guests brings her dog -no joke.

Not Quite Happily Ever After
While I liked that they were trying to come up with new and creative things for Quinn and Flo to do, I didn't like the exhaustiveness of some of the tasks.
Why should I have to drag someone to the dance floor after they've finished eating? This seemed silly and unnecessary to me.
Why let someone to bring a dog to a wedding, and then when the dog starts barking and the woman starts crying, you can't simply grab the dog and drop him back into her lap.
For example, first Quinn must console the woman, and then and only then can she drop the dog off. This seemed like a way to intentionally slow down the player.

Also, there were times when the Bride or Groom wanted to sit next to someone who was already out on the dance floor. Which means if you already missed your chance to seat them where they wanted, they will just fume until the ceremony ends. Sometimes I felt damned if you do and damned if you don't.
Finally, one task that really irked me was the elderly guest who never asks for his food, he will just sit throughout the whole level if you let him. You simply had to remember to go offer food to him and remember which item he was waiting for. Again, extending the gameplay but not in a fun way! It just doesn't work for me.

As I mentioned earlier, I found certain aspects of "Wedding Dash 4 Ever" to be tedious, not because they offered more exciting challenge, but more because they were difficult just for the sake of being difficult.
I'm not a fan of a game that extends it's gameplay by throwing more kinks in the works - especially kinks that don't make sense - instead of finding more clever ways to challenge the player.

Marriage Therapy
Anyone who knows me knows that I love my Dash games.
Sadly, that wasn't the case with "Wedding Dash 4-Ever."
I didn't hate it, I just wasn't crazy about it.
If you've ever played any of the Dash games, the gameplay of "Wedding Dash 4 Ever" will feel very familiar.
Aside from a few small twists, there's little to differentiate this newest game from previous ones. It's merely more of the same stuff and just feels hum-drum. At this point it's well past the honeymoon phase.
