It’s
beginning to look a lot like Christmas … everywhere we go.
Okay, here we go. Gotta make this
quick, I still have half a dozen things left to do. The Christmas cards are
ready to go, just need a few more stamps. And I am determined to make homemade
cookies for Christmas. Wonder if I can get that in today…probably not.
Okay, what else? Presents! I still need to wrap presents!
Christmas is supposed to be a time of peace, love and
goodwill to all. But with all the stress and running around during the holiday season,
many of us end up feeling more like the Grinch than
Santa Claus. If you can't take another Christmas tune, another Christmas
commercial or another expression of donated canned good cheer, these games might get
you in the ho!ho!ho! holiday
spirit.
Chicken
Invaders 3 Revenge of
the Yolk: Chickens. For centuries we have been frying, grilling,
roasting, stewing, and stuffing them. The time has come for us to pay. In "Chicken
Invaders 3 Revenge of the Yolk" they are invading Earth, seeking revenge!
Holiday Bonus: What's in Santa's sack? Why it's the
Holiday Bonus game of course! Chill out
with this cool winter-themed Match 3 puzzle game - its slicker than Santa on an
icy roof!
-Santa’s Super Friends: Mr. Stink goes where the Grinch and Scrooge have gone before him, trying to ruin our
holiday spirit in this “Teddy Factory” clone with new Christmas theme.
Elf Bowling 7 1/7: The Last Insult: Lace up your red
and white bowling shoes! The elves are up to no good and Santa needs your help
to show those crazy elves what the true meaning of "strike" is.
Snow Line: Sadly, Santa’s eyesight isn’t what
it used to be. Help Santa Claus collect the presents for delivery on Christmas
Eve. Use the mouse to draw a line and guide ol’ St.
Nick to the finish picking up presents as you go!!
The Santa Express:- Santa Claus is coming to town! And as the song goes,
Santa Claus knows when you've been bad or good - so be good, for goodness sake!
In “The Santa Express” you must deliver presents to good little boys and girls
while dumping sacks of coal on the naughty ones.
Holiday Trivia
-A traditional Christmas dinner in early England
was the head of a pig prepared with mustard. Yuck! I think I’ll pass. But
thanks.
- Charles Dickens' first choice for Scrooge's famous
line "Bah Humbug" was "Bah Christmas." Hmm, doesn’t quite
have the same ring to it, does it?
- Christmas trees are edible. Many parts of pines, spruces,
and firs can be eaten. The needles are a good source of vitamin C. Pine nuts,
or pine cones, are also a good source of nutrition. Um, yeah! On second thought
I think I’ll have the pig’s head with a side of mustard after all. Thanks!
-Did you know that December 21 is Hamburger Day? Yep! In
addition to Christmas and Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, December also brings us National
Pawnbrokers Day, National Fritter Day and the Festival for the Souls of Dead
Whales.
- Macy's department stores wrapped 1.3 million gifts for
their customers last year.
- During the Christmas shopping season, Visa cards are used
an average of 5,340 times every minute in the United
States. Now that’s what I call the holiday
spirit, people!
I hope you all have a great holiday and may all your gaming wishes come true!
